How We Treat
Are You Facing Challenges with Medical Consultations?
Do any of these phrases sound familiar during your visits to the doctor?
“Let’s monitor it for now!”
“We’ll prescribe some medication!”
“The cause is unknown!”
“No abnormalities found!”
“Surgery seems necessary!”
“It’s likely due to stress or aging!”
We understand how frustrating these responses can be when you’re seeking clear answers and effective treatment. Our goal is to provide a second opinion from the acupuncturist’s perspective, offering a more mechanical and tailored approach to addressing your concerns.

Providing Acupuncture-Based Second Opinions for Difficult-to-Treat Conditions
We offer second opinions from an acupuncture medicine perspective for challenging conditions, including:
Blood Stasis Syndrome (Oketsu-sho), 瘀血症(おけつしょう)
We provide treatment for various conditions associated with blood stasis, including:
- Head and Sensory Disturbance: Headaches, glaucoma, dry eyes, dizziness, sinusitis
- Sleep and Respiratory Issues: Insomnia, snoring
- Skin and Hair Disorders: Atopic dermatitis, shingles, alopecia areata (hair loss), acne, hyperpigmentation (spots, melasma), under-eye circles, Mouth ulcers, haemorrhoids
- Neurological and Movement Disorders: Parkinson’s disease
Treatment Policy
These conditions may be linked to a state where subcutaneous capillaries are blocked by blood stasis (thickened or clotted blood). To address this, we utilize a technique called shiraku, aiming to remove the blood stasis and restore normal circulation.

Muscle Paralysis Syndrome (Kinpi-sho), 筋痺症(きんぴしょう)
We provide treatment for a range of conditions associated with muscle dysfunction, including:
Common Conditions: Frozen shoulder, lower back strain, spinal canal stenosis, whiplash
Postural Issues: Hunchback, scoliosis, gait disturbances
Other Conditions: Varicose veins, tics, stuttering, bite misalignment, teeth grinding
Facial Concerns: Facial asymmetry, wrinkles, sagging, nasolabial folds, and more
Treatment Policy
This condition may arise when the natural interplay of muscle fibers is disrupted, leading to impaired flexibility and contraction. We employ a technique using goshin—long, fine needles—to loosen the fibers and help restore the muscles to a more flexible and functional state.

Bone Paralysis Syndrome (Kotsuhi-sho), 骨痺症(こつひしょう)
We offer treatment for conditions associated with bone and ligament dysfunction, including:
Joint Issues: Pain in the lower back, knees, hands, or feet; joint deformities
Postural Problems: Hyperlordosis (excessive curvature of the lower back)
Other Symptoms: Appetite disorders, constipation or diarrhea, frequent urination, arrhythmias, sleep paralysis
Reproductive and Digestive Concerns: Menstrual pain, infertility, bloating or a “protruding belly,” and more
Treatment Policy
This condition may result from an imbalance in the bones, ligaments, and supporting muscle groups, leading to impaired skeletal support for body weight and internal organ function. Our treatment aims to alleviate skeletal stiffness (bone paralysis) through a combination of: Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Stretching Techniques, and Hammer Percussion Techniques (inspired by Thai Traditional Medicine)

Headache
We treat headaches by easing neck and shoulder tension and correcting skull or neck misalignment.
We treat headaches by easing neck and shoulder tension and correcting skull or neck misalignment.
Tight pain
→ Poor blood flow
Throbbing pain
→ Nerve pressure
We also assess eye and ear symptoms to support cranial balance.

Menopause
We ease “stagnant blood flow” that causes hot flashes and heat buildup.
For facial symptoms, we treat around the ears, cheeks, and top of the head.
For palpitations or shortness of breath, we focus on the neck and upper back.

Eye Strain
We improve circulation around the brows, cheeks, and back of the neck—areas linked to the optic nerves.
Poor blood flow here can cause eye fatigue.
By treating both skin and muscles, we help ease tired eyes and tension around the head

Warts & Moles
Enhance circulation around the skull’s suture lines and blood pathways.
Waste buildup often occurs near the eyes, temples, cheeks, and jawline.
Acupuncture promotes detoxification through the skin and muscles, improving warts, moles, dullness, and discoloration.

Rough Skin
Enhances deep skin circulation and revitalizes complexion.
Roughness, acne, and dullness often result from inflammation and poor blood flow in the skin’s micro-capillaries.
Acupuncture gently stimulates deeper layers of the skin to promote circulation, support natural detoxification, and restore a smooth, healthy glow.

Sinusitis
Detox the sinuses with acupuncture.
Acupuncture helps remove stagnant blood and toxins, improving circulation and easing inflammation in the nasal and sinus membranes.

Insomnia
Improve nasal airflow and brain cooling.
When nasal congestion (鬱血) persists, the brain cannot cool properly during sleep, preventing relaxation.
Acupuncture clears nasal stagnation to promote restful sleep and may also help with snoring and sinus issues.

Post-COVID Symptoms
Relieve residual blood stagnation.
After COVID infection or vaccination, residual blood clots may cause lingering discomfort or sensory issues.

Dizziness & Tinnitus
Relieve inner ear lymph pressure and stagnation.
When blood and lymph flow around the ears or jaw become congested, it increases inner ear pressure, leading to dizziness or ringing in the ears.
Acupuncture improves circulation, eases symptoms, and also releases tension in the neck and shoulders.

Jaw Tension & TMJ
Improve facial balance according to the Jaw Tension & TMJ
Improve facial balance according to the cause.
Jaw tension and TMJ discomfort may result from tight jaw or neck muscles, cranial misalignment, or swollen blood and lymph vessels.
Acupuncture addresses these underlying issues, easing joint stiffness and restoring smooth, balanced movement for a relaxed, refined facial line.

Hunchback & Straight Neck
Restore the elasticity of the back muscles with acupuncture.
Prolonged forward head posture from smartphone or computer use strains the back muscles, reducing their support ability.
Acupuncture stimulates the back and neck muscles to restore balance and improve posture.

Neck Tilt
Relieve whiplash-related stiffness with acupuncture.
Neck tilt or chronic pain may result from past falls or car accidents causing whiplash.
Acupuncture loosens tense neck and shoulder muscles, restoring a relaxed, natural alignment.

Excessive Sweating of Hands & Feet
Help open sweat glands throughout the body.
Excess sweating in the hands and feet can occur when the sweat glands in other areas are not fully open.
Acupuncture helps open and activate sweat glands on the arms, legs, scalp, and back to balance sweating across the body.

Trigger Finger
Relieve stiffness in the finger flexor muscles.
Trigger finger occurs when the muscles that bend the fingers become chronically tight.
Acupuncture relaxes the palm and forearm muscles, while moxibustion improves circulation to restore smooth finger movement.

Arm, Shoulder & Lower Back Pain
Loosen stiff muscle fibers with acupuncture.
Frozen shoulder, lower back pain, and lumbago often stem from age-related muscle stiffness or calcification.
Acupuncture targets pain points directly, while moxibustion improves circulation to relieve pain and tension.

Body Stiffness
Precise myofascial release with acupuncture.
Acupuncture targets deep fascia that stretching or massage can’t easily reach, loosening stubborn tension and restoring flexible, comfortable movement.

Herpes & Shingles
Poor circulation from neck, shoulder, and back tension can trigger outbreaks.
When tight muscles in the upper body restrict blood flow, it can lead to inflammation that causes herpes or shingles around the lips or ribs.
Acupuncture releases muscle stiffness, improves circulation, and helps the body heal from the root.

Loss of Appetite & Eating Disorders
Align spinal movement connected to the digestive system.
Poor spinal mobility can affect the nerves linked to the stomach and intestines.
Acupuncture on the neck, back, or lower spine helps restore appetite and improve digestion and bowel function.

Constipation, Diarrhea & Ulcerative Colitis
Improve colon function through lower back and leg treatment.
Since the large intestine connects to the lumbar spine, restricted movement in the back, legs, or ankles can affect bowel activity and mucosal health.
Acupuncture along the lower back and legs enhances circulation and restore healthy colon function.

Knee Pain & Deformity
Release muscle tension to align joint movement.
When muscles around the knee become stiff, they strain the joint and cause pain or deformity.
Acupuncture loosens tight areas and restores smooth, natural knee alignment.
Varicose Veins
Loosen thigh and calf muscles to improve circulation.
Varicose veins develop when stiff leg muscles restrict blood flow.
Acupuncture releases deep muscle tension and enhances circulation, reducing visible vein swelling.

Bunions, Ingrown Nails & Cracked Nails
Since the toes and nails are connected to the lower leg muscles, stiffness or imbalance in these muscles can cause toe and nail deformities.
Acupuncture loosens inner leg muscles for bunions and front shin muscles for nail issues, addressing the root cause.
